Keeping a record of your food and exercise each day is a very simple way to keep track of what goes into your body. The value of doing this is when successes and problems crop up in you physical life, you can look back and check for patterns in you nutritional behavior. You will be amazed as to how many health problems and accomplishments can be linked to your eating habits!
As an example, I tracked my eating and exercise habits here online for three months while I was training for my first 10K. (Note to readers regarding my eating times: I have an “afternoon/night” job. When I say my first meal is at 11:00am or so, it does not mean I’ve been up for hours without eating. I typically eat my first meal within 1 hour of waking.)
